Your safety management system, built module by module
A workboat compliance and operations platform that helps you build, use and maintain your safety management system. Vessels certified under Workboat Code Edition 3 need an SMS that is implemented and operational, not simply written and filed, and TeamTrak turns that from a blank page into a guided process.
A blank page is the slowest way to build an SMS
A safety management system under the Workboat Code is not one document. It is a register of arrangements: policies, responsibilities, procedures and review controls, each of which has to exist, be approved, and be evidenced in practice.
Most operators do not have a compliance department to hand it to, and the requirement cannot be deferred. Building and maintaining that register from scratch is slow, unfamiliar work.
Six of the 14 required modules for a typical vessel. Each carries its Workboat Code Edition 3 reference, so you can see what the requirement is answering.
From vessel facts to an approved register
Readiness becomes a number you can see, not a question you have to ask someone.
Answer structured questions
Describe the vessel and the operation in plain terms. No compliance vocabulary required to get started.
See which modules apply
TeamTrak converts those facts into your register of arrangements, each module referenced to Workboat Code Edition 3.
Attach the evidence you hold
Certificates, risk assessments, drill records, attached to the module they support, not filed in a folder somewhere.
Track to approved, and keep it live
Each module moves from not started to approved, and the SMS stays current as an operational record rather than ageing in a drawer.
An SMS that stays operational
The requirement is not a document. It is a system in use, capable of being evidenced. TeamTrak Workboat keeps the register, the reviews and the evidence attached to the day-to-day running of the vessel.
Readiness at a glance. One percentage per vessel, one clear status per module.
Evidence attached where it belongs. Every document sits against the arrangement it supports.
Fleet or single vessel. Run one boat or fifty, with oversight across all of them.
On the vessel and ashore. Phone and tablet for crew, larger screens for review and administration.
The SMS is the backbone. The platform runs the work around it.
An SMS only stays operational if the day-to-day work that feeds it is held in the same place. TeamTrak Workboat manages that work, so the evidence builds itself as you run the vessel.
Vessels and certification
Every vessel, its particulars and its certificates, with expiry visible before it becomes a problem.
Crew competence
Tickets, familiarisation and training currency held per person, per vessel.
Operations and watches
Who is aboard, what the vessel is doing, and the watch record that goes with it.
Maintenance and defects
Planned maintenance and reported defects tracked against the vessel they affect.
Evidence and actions
Documents attached where they belong, and actions assigned to someone with a date on them.
Reviews and audit history
Controlled revisions and a history of what changed, when, and who approved it.
† About the December 2026 date
The 13 December 2026 date applies to vessels certified under Workboat Code Edition 3. Vessels still operating under earlier codes, and vessels moving onto Edition 3 at renewal, have their own timescales, and what is required varies with the vessel, its certificate and its area of operation. Confirm what applies to your vessel with your certifying authority.
To be clear about what TeamTrak is
TeamTrak is not a substitute for compliance. You remain responsible for your system. What TeamTrak does is make building and holding it a manageable piece of work, in the structure the Code expects.
From £1,200 per year for one active vessel
That covers the whole platform for that vessel: the SMS build and the operational records that keep it current, with unlimited ordinary crew accounts. Additional vessels are priced progressively, so adding a boat never jumps you to a fleet tier. Prices exclude VAT and are billed annually.
Includes the operator workspace and all crew accounts.
Each, added to the first-vessel price.
Each, added progressively as the fleet grows.
Individually quoted for larger fleets.
What that works out at
Monthly figures are shown for comparison only; the annual term is paid up front. Vessels added mid-term are charged pro rata to your renewal date.
Included in the subscription
The full web platform, with ordinary software and rule-pack updates.
All normal crew accounts and role-based access. No per-person fee.

Setup is self-service and included. If you would rather be walked through it, these are fixed-scope and priced up front.
Up to four hours across preparation, two remote sessions and follow-up. Configures your organisation, roles and first vessel and shows you the SMS workflow. It does not write or approve your safety content.
